Saaraakassh Trust’s SETU Empowerment Centre, Kudshet (Murbad Taluka) conducted a high-impact livelihood training programme for 75 women from tribal hamlets around Kudshet.
The workshop featured two key modules:
Organic Farming, Natural Fertilisers & Pest Management – conducted by Maharashtra govt awardee Shri Ravindra Gharat sir and Bhoir Sir Agriculture specialist from Palghar. They elaborated on dangers of pesticides and alternative natural farming products.
SETU Empowers 75 Rural Woman Through Papad-Making & Home-Based Food Enterprise Training – guided by Shri Sunil Alam. He presented their successful model of papad business by 720 women making Samrudhi papad and how women in our villages could replicate the success story.
Women from Zadhghar, Banachi Wadi, Karpat Wadi, Dongarwadi, Chasole, Kevharwadi and Godyacha Pada participated enthusiastically.

Akassh Ravi, Nathu Pardhi, and Prakash Mengal, strengthening on-ground coordination and community mobilisation.
Driving Women’s Financial Independence
The training equips rural women with practical, income-generating skills—helping them start home-based papad units and adopt chemical-free, sustainable farming methods for better productivity.
This initiative continues SETU’s mission of economic empowerment, skill development and rural upliftment.
