Since July 2020, immense work on various activities and projects
undertaken has been going on. Here we showcase some
highlights of the work through July till the beginning of October
2020 itself:
Starting with the fourth round of grocery distribution in July, the
trust built a shed for an ancient 200 year old Devi temple which
resides in the forest area just behind Karpatwadi village, on the
request of the villagers. On the highway, which connects many of
these villages with the outside world, is the only bus stop which
got devastated during the Nisarga cyclone. The Trust took the
task of successfully refurbishing this bus stop!
Due to poor connectivity, the ZP school in Pezwadi village had not
been able to function online during lockdown. Under the guidance
of the school teacher, since August the Trust identified and
sponsored a villager who could take makeshift classes for the
children so that their studies do not lag behind when actual
classes resume. In Karpatwadi, a Samaj hall is being built for
more and focused community service. Saaraakassh Trust also
sponsored a Life skills series of workshops conducted by Ms.
Poonam Ghadigaonkar, of Disha Counseling Center for
Shivpralay classes based in Dombivli. Last but not the least, on
October 2 nd 2020, with the efforts and coordination of the Trust,
Project Daily Paratha for kids was started which is an initiative of
an organization, Beautiful Minds.
